Memberships
Rolling monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time with one month's notice. 12 month memberships run for the full term and then convert to a rolling monthly. No call centre, no hoops, just let us know.
Yes. You can move between rolling tiers at any time. Switching from a 12 Month to a Roller tier needs to wait until the end of your initial term. Just speak to the team at reception or drop us a message.
There is a one-off £40 admin fee when joining.
Classes
Yes, classes are bookable up to seven days ahead through the member app. Most fill the day before, popular slots a bit sooner. If a class is full, add yourself to the waitlist and you'll usually get a spot.
Most classes are flagged as either all-levels, intermediate or beginner. If you're new, start with anything marked all-levels or beginner and tell the coach when you arrive. They'll regress or progress movements on the fly.
Cancel any class up to two hours before the start time and it frees the spot for someone on the waitlist. Late cancels and no-shows count against your account: three in a rolling month and we'll have a quiet word.
No. Mats, weights, gloves, pads and bands are all provided in the studio. Just turn up in trainers and something you can move in, and we will handle the rest. If you prefer your own mat for yoga or Pilates, bring it.
This Is Fit
This Is Fit (TIF) is the bigger idea behind the gym. It's the belief that fitness is for everyone in Hackney, not just the people already in the room. Real bodies, real lives, real progress, no pretence.
Yes. The three personal training sessions come with every new membership at no extra cost. There is no tier to upgrade, no hidden charge and no "intro pack" to buy. If you are new, you get them.
You will usually have your first session within a week or two of joining. The team books you in at reception once your membership is set up and works around your schedule.
If you'd like to work with a specific trainer, tell us when you sign up. Otherwise we'll match you with whoever has the right specialism for your goals and good availability.
Personal training stays available to all members at any time. The free three-session block is for new joiners, but you can book individual PT sessions whenever you want a check-in or a programme refresh.
The gym
Weekday mornings between 10am and 12pm, and weekday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm. Weekends are friendly but busy. If you'd like a quieter first session, aim for mid-morning on a Tuesday or Thursday.
Free trial
Turn up five minutes early and ask for whoever's on the desk. We'll show you round, point out the bits you'll actually use, and you can do a class or use the gym floor that day. No card. No pressure. Bring trainers and water, the rest is here.
Trainers, kit you can move in and a water bottle. Towels and locker padlocks are at reception if you need them. Showers, shampoo and a hairdryer are in the changing rooms.
Yes. Book them in too with their own free trial, same form, separate booking. We'd rather know two of you are coming so we can give you both a proper welcome.
You can stay as long as you like during opening hours. Most people give it 60 to 90 minutes, long enough for a tour, a workout and a chat at the front desk.
